Love Island U.K.'s Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury Break Up One Year After Engagement 

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have left their relationship’s villa. 

Indeed, the couple—who were a fan favorite of Love Island U.K.’s fifth season in 2019—have broken up after five years together, and subsequently called off their one-year engagement. 

“Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this,” Molly-Mae wrote in an Instagram Story Aug. 14. “After five years together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.”

And while Molly-Mae—who shares 19-month-old Bambi with her now-ex–didn’t address Tommy’s perspective in her statement, she did emphasize the love she has for the couple’s daughter. 

“I’m extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end,” she continued. “I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me, now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us, there would be no her. She will always be my priority.”

The 25-year-old also expressed gratitude for the former couple’s fans, while also requesting privacy for herself. 

“I want to thank you for all of the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all,” she added. “Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks, please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time. I’ll be back when it feels right.”

For his part, Tommy, 25, addressed the split in a succinct post of his own to Instagram, echoing Molly-Mae’s centering of their daughter Bambi. 

“The past five years have led us to have our beautiful baby girl,” he noted. “I will forever be grateful to Molly-Mae for making me a dad. Bambi is our priority.”

The couple sharing the news of their split comes a little over a year after they announced their engagement. In fact, Molly-Mae commemorated the milestone less than a month ago on her Instagram. 

“One year ago today I was tricked into going on a fake brand trip,” Molly-Mae wrote on July 23, alongside a video of Tommy proposing. “On which the love of my life would ask me to marry him.”

Meanwhile, Tommy had shared a photo of Molly-Mae and Bambi on July 8, writing, “My everything in a photo."
